She returned to films in 2016 with Aamir Khan’s sports drama film Dangal and mesmerised the audience once again with her acting prowess. She played the role of an Indian freestyle wrestler, Geeta Phogat.Fatima will next star in Raj Singh Chaudhary's Netflix film Thar. She also has Amazon Prime Video’s anthology series, Modern Love: Mumbai.
