Who was paid how much for RRR?
You would have often read that SS Rajamouli’s latest release RRR is made on a huge budget. The number you have come across actually excludes the salaries of the starcast including Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. SS Rajamouli has a share that he takes back from the budget. Ram Charan
Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju in the film. He played an activist who was also the tribal leader from Andhra Pradesh. Rama Raju fought against the British Raj in the 1920s. For his role, Ram Charan charged Rs. 45 crores.

Jr. NTR
Jr. NTR charged Rs. 45 crores for his role too. He played a Gond tribal leader from Telangana named Komaram Bheem. Bheem fought against the Nizam of Hyderabad at the same time as Rama Raju.

Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt played the role of Rama Raju (Ram Charan)’s cousin as well as fiancé, Sita. She charged Rs. 9 crores for her brief appearance in the movie. According to various reports doing the rounds, Alia’s role in the film is actually cut down. The actress hinted that she is upset with that as she unfollowed SS Rajamouli on Instagram after RRR released and has been a success at the Box Office.

Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn took home a good salary of Rs. 25 crores. He played the role of Rama Raju’s father, Venkata Rama Raju, who also was a freedom fighter and an inspiration to Rama Raju. Ajay was paired opposite Shriya Saran in the film. Her salary has not been revealed so far.

SS Rajamouli
SS Rajamouli did not charge a salary for the film. Instead, he invested 30% shares in the movie and will take that from the profits RRR makes. So far, he looks like the richest man among them all, at least. Afterall, the movie has collected Rs. 538 crores gross till day 4 i.e. first Monday and is sure to keep growing till at least a week more.
