The American actor celebrates his 44th birthday on 1st August 2023

Jason Momoa began his acting career at the age of 19 when he was cast in the series Baywatch: Hawaii in 1999. He later appeared in the science fiction series Stargate Atlantis and in 2011, he starred as the titular character in the fantasy movie Conan the Barbarian.
Momoa was cast as Khal Drogo in the same year in the hit medieval fantasy drama Game of Thrones and won audiences and critics alike with his portrayal of the ferocious character. Momoa landed the role after he performed a traditional Maori dance called Haka, during the audition, which is traditionally used to challenge an opponent. Although he only appeared in the first season of the show, barring a cameo role in the second season, Momoa’s performance was lauded by the critics.
He landed the role of Aquaman in the DC movies franchise. After appearing in the leading role in the ensemble, Justice League he starred in the solo film Aquaman in 2018. He also received critical acclaim for his performance as Duncan Idaho, the Swordmaster of House Atreides in Denis Villeneuve’s epic science fiction film Dune which is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel of the same name.
