The legendary actor celebrates his birthday today

Kamal Haasan is an Indian actor who works primarily in the Tamil film industry. He made his debut as a child artist in the 1960 Tamil-language film Kalathur Kannamma for which he won the President's Gold Medal. His breakthrough as a lead actor, however, came in the 1975 drama Apoorva Raagangal.

His upcoming film, titled Vikram is an action thriller that is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by his very own production house, Raaj Kamal Films International. Along with him, the cast also includes two big names in the South film industry - Vijay Sethupati and Fahadh Faasil.

The film is releasing in theatres this week.
