Words fail us to describe this suspense thriller, which is nothing but a shame to the genre.

Huttu Habbada Shubhashayagalu movie review: Watch Diganth's latest at your own peril

Huttu Habbada Subhashayagalu

Story: Avinash, a rich lad, is killed at his birthday party that was attended by at least a dozen friends. They come from all walks of life - a police inspector, techie, lawyer, doctor, model, astrologer/priest, and whatnot. One of them has committed the 'perfect' crime.

Review: It takes a special kind of talent to ruin a thriller and debutant director Nagaraj Bethur masters it with this Diganth starrer. Right from the story, to the making and the performances, there is nothing even remotely entertaining in this film. Here’s the thing, you are quite likely to remember this film for the sheer torture that it is.

The crux of this movie revolves around the murder of Avinash at his birthday party. The suspects, as it turns out are his guests, most of who are his friends, which include a police inspector, a doctor, lawyer, astrologer, etc. What’s laughable is the supposed meticulous planning that goes into pulling off this perfect crime.

If the narrative appears amateurish, the technical aspects of the film are even worse. The cinematography is shoddy, as are the dialogues, songs, and humour, making it a truly horrendous two hours odd spent in the movie halls. One truly wonders why Diganth would be a part of a film that has nothing noteworthy to write about.

Verdict: A whodunit saga that’s a disgrace to the genre. Watch it at your own peril.
