Money Mafia season 3.

Money Mafia Season 3

Story:

The new season of discovery+’s show Money Mafia talks about drugs and money laundering among other things.

Review:

All that shines is gold and diamond. However, it comes at the cost of a common man’s bloodshed. A new season of Money Mafia is here and season 3 goes deep into the topic of smuggling, scam and the power of money. Even though it could have been in-depth, the series is sufficient information for a novice looking to explore more about the subjects.

Commencing with extortion, this show does not more than stating facts. Since newspaper headlines have often revealed a story of extortion, this one comes as no surprise. The surprise is that extortion happens in a profession without you even realizing that could be the case.

Within the second episode, the show gets you curious. When you feel you are losing interest, the graphics in gold smuggling pull you right back in.

Unfortunately, that cannot be said for the third episode which simply touches upon drug smuggling. This is a topic that is so done-and-dusted that there is literally nothing new to offer. To top it up, your search engine will give you more details than this episode.

Episode four is a mix of both the emotions. While stating facts about money laundering and taking a name as obvious as Dawood Ibrahim, once again, this one also shares some details that can numb your mind. How the growth in diamond market or even the recent trend, the cryptocurrency, comes into the picture, is pretty interesting.

Money Mafia, while trying to be relevant, could also spin into a bit of dramatic course to keep the viewers interested. That one aspect constantly works against the show. Although we all know that the poor have become poorer and the rich, richer, this being stated again, does no good to the show. The common man’s suffering is mainly true but seems to be used for more dramatic effect than fitting in the tale. That is what works against the otherwise average show.

Verdict:

Money Mafia season 3 is a show you can watch if you have just started trying to understand the world of crime. In case you have followed the papers closely, this is just a refresh button for your mind and you probably know more details.
