Popular American gaming Youtuber IShowSpeed has reacted to Virat Kohli's retirement from the Test cricket.

Team India's star batter Virat Kohli's retirement from Test cricket has surprised the cricketing fraternity, as many believed that he could have played more. Virat made his Test debut against West Indies in June 2011 at Sabina Park. Being called as a rookie in a longer format, Virat emerged to be one of the greats in Test cricket. He played 123 matches and made 9230 runs, which includes 30 hundreds and 31 fifties.
Kohli's last Test appearance came against Australia in the BGT 2024-25 at the Sydney Cricket Ground in January 2025. The player lately had a lean patch, as he ended up scoring 190 runs in the series despite a century in the first match.
Popular American gaming YouTuber IShowSpeed, who is also a big fan of Virat Kohli, reacted to the player's retirement from Test cricket. During a recent livestream, Speed expressed his sadness over Virat's Instagram post.
Darren Jason Walkings Jr, aka IShowSpeed, has reacted to India's cricket star Virat Kohli's retirement from Test cricket. In a recent livestream, Speed expressed sorrow over Virat's retirement post on Instagram. Here's what he said:
"Virat Kohli is gone..chat, I don't understand what's happening, man. This sh*t is sad, all the legends are retiring, bro. Ain't no f**king way he just retired, they just won the ICC tournament. Why would he retire if they just won an ICC? He's just 36, this gotta be fake."
With Kohli retiring from Test cricket, the only format left to play for him is the ODI. The player had already retired from the T20Is after the ICC T20I World Cup in June 2024. If the player continues to play the format for a longer period, the next big assignment for him would be the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027. Same would be the story for Rohit Sharma who also retired from Test cricket following his poor run as batter and captain in the format.
