“Are Bhai, WhatsApp Kar Deta!” - Dhanashree Verma slams Yuzvendra Chahal’s viral ‘Sugar Daddy’ T-Shirt after divorce

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma made a lot of headlines after parting ways earlier this year in March. They both kept things private and decided to avoid answering questions related to their separation.

However, Chahal recently opened about the situation during a recent podcast. And now, Dhanashree has also opened up about just how emotionally draining the divorce was for her.

In a recent appearance with the Humans of Bombay podcast, Dhanashree described the kind of emotions she was feeling during the final court appearance. Even though she mentally prepared herself, she became overwhelmed with emotion and lost it completely.

She recalled, "I just remember that I just kept crying, I was just howling and crying." Her distress was compounded when she learned that Chahal had worn a T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase "Be Your Own Sugar Daddy" during the hearing.

Talking about the incident, Dhanashree expressed her surprise and disappointment, stating, "Are bhai, WhatsApp kar deta. T-shirt kyun pehna hai? (Brother, you couldn’ve texted me whatsapp, why wear a T-shirt)"

She felt that such a public display trivialized the gravity of their personal situation and added unnecessary strain to an already painful experience.

To stress the emotional effect further, Dhanashree revealed that she had left the court by the back gate to escape media, and had to regain her composure in the car before checking her phone and seeing the viral images of Chahal's T-shirt.

She noted, "Even before I had even known that this T-shirt stunt had happened, we were all aware that people were going to blame me for this."

Talking about Chahal, he’s again in the headlines due to rumours of dating social media influencer RJ Mahwash. Both Chahal and Mahwash have been spotted a lot of times together and also made a lot of public appearance together.

Although both have cleared that they are just friends but still the media and many users of social media believes that they both are dating each other.
