Preview

Arsenal will enter this final in relentless form, sitting nine points clear at the top of the Premier League and chasing an unprecedented quadruple.

Mikel Arteta has changed the Gunners into a tactical machine, having defeated Chelsea and Brighton on their route to the final at Wembley.

Manchester City, on the other hand, will arrive at Wembley with something to prove. After a tough midweek exit from the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid, Pep Guardiola’s men will be desperate to reignite their season and winning the first major trophy of the season will certainly be a great start to that.

While their European dreams are over for them, City are still the masters of the League Cup. They are aiming for their ninth title and fifth under coach Pep Guardiola.

Team news

Arsenal: Mikel Arteta faces a nervous wait over skipper Martin Ødegaard, who remains a doubt with a knee injury.

However, the Gunners will be happy with the red-hot form of Kai Havertz and Declan Rice. Both of them were instrumental in their semi-final triumph over Chelsea.

Jurrien Timber and Eberechi Eze are also being monitored for fitness and might miss the final as well.

Manchester City: Pep Guardiola has confirmed that young goalkeeper James Trafford will start in the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal.

Defensively, they will struggle without Marc Guéhi, who is cup-tied, and Joško Gvardiol, who is out with a long-term injury.
