The Asia Cup is slated to commence on August 30, starting with the inaugural match between co-hosts Pakistan and Nepal.

In anticipation of Asia Cup 2023, India's coach Rahul Dravid provided an update concerning the status of Indian opener KL Rahul. Dravid mentioned that the batter won't be participating in the initial two matches of the competition.
Currently undergoing training in Alur alongside the Indian squad, KL Rahul is still in the process of getting fully prepared for the first two encounters.
"KL Rahul is progressing really well but will not be available for India’s first two matches – against Pakistan and Nepal – of the Asia Cup 2023," Rahul Dravid said in a press conference.
On September 2, India is scheduled to face Pakistan, and they will then compete against Nepal on September 4.
