The panel is scheduled to consider Rauf’s response on September 26 before making its formal decision.
However, sources close to the situation indicate that the three-match ban is almost certain, given the serious nature of his conduct. The decision also includes a complete forfeiture of Rauf’s match fees from the game on September 21.
The governing body has condemned Rauf’s actions, describing them as "beyond shameful" and highly damaging to the reputation of cricket as a sport respected worldwide for its spirit and sportsmanship.
Bringing "war references" to an international sporting event was seen as deeply inappropriate, risking not just fines and bans but also stirring unnecessary tensions in a region where cricket is a major cultural and political passion.
This ban will not only sideline Rauf for important matches but may also affect his career reputation and future selections if similar disciplinary breaches occur.
