Asia Cup 2025: India cruise to easy victory over UAE in group stage match

India registered an easy victory over UAE in the Asia Cup 2025 group stage, delivering a dominant performance with both bat and ball. Get full match details and highlights.

Team India put up a beautiful performance against UAE in the 2nd match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International stadium, Dubai. UAE batted first and scored just 57 runs in the first innings. Despite getting a magnificent start, UAE failed to convert the momentum and ended up losing wickets at regular intervals. Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakaravarthy set the stage for the Indian bowlers.

But the real trouble was created by Kuldeep Yadav who dismissed three batters in a single over, changing the course of the game. Kuldeep claimed four wickers and gave away just seven runs in two overs. The game lasted for less than two hours due to India's brilliant performance in both the innings.

The batters chased down 58 runs in 4.3 overs. This win margin would help them in the NRR. Suryakumar Yadav and Co. would be happy with their efforts on the field today. Playing against India is never an easy job for any team since they are the champions. This game will be a lesson for UAE to go back and practice well. For an excellent bowling performance, Kuldeep Yadav won the Player of the Match award.

Kuldeep Yadav | Player of the Match: Thanks to Adrian the trainer. Was working on my bowling and my fitness as well, everything is going perfectly. Tried to hit the right length and it matters a lot, reading the batters on what they are trying to do. Even today as well, reacting to what the batters would do on the next ball.

Afghanistan captain Muhammad Waseem: We started well as a batting team, we lose wickets in a cluster which cost us the game. They are a brilliant team and they are bowling very well. They are executing their plans for every batter, that's why they are the No.1 team. As a team we will try to come back stronger and learn from our mistakes.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav: Wanted to see how the wicket was playing. It was the same in the 2nd innings. Clinical performance from the boys, we wanted good attitude and energy on the field and that's what we got. Recently lot of the boys were here for the Champions Trophy, the wicket looked good but it was on the slower side and the spinners have a role. Here it is very hot right now and Kuldeep, Dube and Varun did well. (on Abhishek) He is currently the World number one batter for a reason, he sets the tone, irrespective of if we chase 200 or 50, unbelievable from him. Everyone is excited for the game against Pakistan.
