The Men in Blue batted first but never looked troubled thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 75 off 37 deliveries in the first innings. The left-hander was in complete control, mixing power with placement as he struck six boundaries and five towering sixes. His intent right from the start made India's performance looked better, silencing Bangladesh’s bowlers.
Shubman Gill’s 29 added valuable support at the top, while Hardik Pandya (38 off 29) ensured the innings finished smoothly once Sharma departed. India eventually reached the target with ease, finishing at 168/6.
The victory was a reflection of India’s balance, an attack capable of dismantling line-ups and a batting order deep enough to dominate any total. Bangladesh, meanwhile, were left ruing their inability to build partnerships around Saif Hassan’s fine innings. It will be important to see who will India meet in the finals. Tomorrow's match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be quite crucial as well.
