Suryakumar Yadav explained India's will to bat first, noting that the pitch might slow down as the game progresses, making it advantageous to set a target early.

He praised his team’s preparedness and acknowledged the tough choices in team selection, mentioning key players like Rinku, Washington Sundar, Jitesh Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, and Nitish Kumar missing out. He described it as a "big headache, a good headache to have."

“We were looking to bat first. I mean, it looks like a good wicket. And I heard from our analysts that there have not been a lot of games played here. Might get slower in the second innings. So, yeah, we wanted to bat first,” Suryakumar Yadav shared.
