Bas de Leede powers Netherlands to dominant 7-wicket win over Namibia in T20 World Cup 2026

Bas de Leede starred with 72 as Netherlands chased down 157 to beat Namibia by 7 wickets in Match 10 of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Delhi.

Netherlands clashed against Namibia in the 10th match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 on February 10 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. The Dutch team played an incredible game of cricket and won the match by seven wickets. It was a performance from both the batters and the bowlers that helped them get past the winning line.

They batted first and scored 156 runs in the first innings. Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton scored 42 off 38 balls, including one boundary and three sixes. He got the support from Jan Frylinck who scored 30 off 26 balls, including three boundaries and one six. Even JJ Smit scored 22 off 15 balls, hitting one boundary and two sixes.

Logan van Beek and Bas de Leede picked up two wickets for Namibia while the rest of the bowlers struggled to take wickets. The bowlers failed to take wickets and stop Netherlands' batters from scoring runs in the first innings.

Bas de Leede's 72-run knock helped Netherlands clinch victory

Netherlands batters were in full control in the second innings which was quite helpful for the team. It was clearly Bas de Leede's day as he scored 72 runs off 48 balls, including five boundaries and four sixes. His matured knock and the support from the other end helped the Dutch team clinch victory by seven wickets. This has helped them correct their NRR as well.

Colin Ackermann scored 32 off 28 balls, including one six and anchored the innings really well. Overall, it was an incredible performance from the batters as well as the bowlers. But, Bas de Leede deserves all the credit since he showcased an all-round performance in the game. Netherlands are now in the game and one more victory might lead them to the knockouts. It will be intriguing to see how their tournament commences.
