The India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025 was way more dramatic than the viewers would have thought it to be. India won the contest fair and square by seven wickets on September 14, in Dubai. After the win, on field players, captain Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube went back to the pavilion without shaking hands with the Pakistan players. The opponent players didn't like the way the Indian players behaved in the match which went to become a huge issue later on.

Pakistan skipper Salman Agha didn't show up at the presentation because of what Surykumar did. Moreover, reports suggest that Pakistan raised the issue with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) against India after the match. However, a BCCI official revealed that they haven't received any information or formal complaint from ACC yet.

"BCCI has not received any official complaint from ACC regarding no handshake or closing the door incident," said a BCCI official as quoted by Times Now.

Why did Suryakumar Yadav decline handshake with Pakistan players?

After winning the match, when Suryakumar Yadav was speaking during the post-match presentation, he opened up about the no-handshake drama and mentioned that the Indian team stood by the families of the victims of Pahalgam terror attack and that was the main reason behind their actions. India won the match by seven wickets and are now the table toppers with two wins back-to-back wins in the tournament. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the tournament holds for the Men in Blue.

"Just wanted to say something. Perfect occasion, taking the time out, we stand by the families of the victims of Pahalgam terror attack. We express our solidarity. Want to dedicate the win to all our armed forces who showed a lot of bravery. Hope they continue to inspire us all and we give them more reasons on the ground whenever we get an opportunity to make them smile," said Suryakumar Yadav at the post-match presentation.
