India's one of the best batters in Test cricket, Cheteshwar Pujara, has bid farewell to the game on August 24, 2025 on Sunday. He took to his social media account to announce his retirement from all formats of the game. In an emotional post, Pujara mentioned that the journey was filled with great moments that always remain etched to his heart. After Rahul Dravid, Pujara was the 'Wall of Indian Cricket' in Tests. Playing against some of the best bowlers, he never let them trouble him with mind games.

"Wearing the Indian jersey, singing the anthem, and trying my best each time I stepped on the field - it’s impossible to put into words what it truly meant. But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and with immense gratitude I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you for all the love and support," he wrote on X.

In the 1st Test match against England, Cheteshwar Pujara scored a double century, forming a 90-run partnership with Virender Sehwag and several others as he remained unbeaten in the first innings. He scored 206 off 389 runs, hitting 21 boundaries.
