Even after scoring in the quarter-final against Palmeiras, the striker ran to Tosin Adarabioyo on the bench to celebrate. He later explained the gesticulation by conveying to reporters: "That's my boy. Obviously, I've had a difficult time these past whatever months on and off the pitch, but he's always been there for me and he's helped me a lot. So, yeah, I just thought I'd go over to him."
Despite going through a rough patch, Cole Palmer was able to focus on his game. The Chelsea star bamboozled everyone with a brace and an assist in Chelsea's remarkable 4-0 win over PSG in the final. Palmer went on to win the Player of the Final Award as well.
