South Africa’s captain Temba Bavuma has not lost a single Test match under his stint. In 13 games, he has won 12, and one was a draw. For someone of that caliber, people might imagine him to be crude and arrogant. On the contrary, Bavuma looks like one of the most sorted members of the South African team.

Even after receiving comments like ‘Bauna’ from Jasprit Bumrah in the first innings of the first match, Bavuma kept quiet and slammed the Indian team with a brilliant performance on the field by scoring a half-century in the second innings.

Similarly, when South Africa’s head coach made a statement to demean the Indian team by using terms like ‘grovel,’ Bavuma didn’t support him. He rather said that the head coach will ‘think about the statement’ again. This doesn’t mean that he was arrogant; it simply meant that his respect for the coach is high and that he will talk to him about it.

"Comments made by coach came to me this morning. I was focused on game and didn't have a chance to speak to him. Shukri is close to 60 years old and he will have a look at his comments," Bavuma said at the post-match press conference on Wednesday.

Bavuma also took a slight dig at Bumrah and said, "But in this series, certain guys have also crossed the line. Not saying coach crossed the line, but he will surely think about it."

Temba Bavuma continuing winning streak by beating India by 408 runs

The second Test match for the Indian team was nothing less than a nightmare. All the years of hard work, dominance, and winning games appeared vanished when the last batter lost the wicket on day five and the home team lost the game by 408 runs. The number - 408 is not small but rather a huge one to tear apart the legacy set by the former players and captains, including Virat Kohli.

Until day four, the Indian players believed that any score was chaseable on day five, or at least they could have drawn the match. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja even said that batting on day five is like a ‘win-win’ situation for us. But was it really?

In front of a 6-foot 8-inch tall bowler and a spinner who appears to know the Indian conditions better than the Indian bowlers, was sticking around for 90 overs easy? Well, Jadeja didn’t have to answer the question, but the entire team did. After 25 years, South Africa won a Test series in India. It wasn’t just a win; it was a clean sweep on home turf, and with that, the fortress is breached.
