DC Women outclass RCB Women with ease, clinch 7-wicket victory in WPL 2026

Delhi Capitals Women chased down RCBW’s total to win by 7 wickets in the 15th match of the Women’s Premier League 2026 at BCA Stadium, Vadodara.

The Delhi Capitals Women have move to the second position in the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 table by beating Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women on January 24. DC won the match by seven wickets as it was an easy victory for them. Having started the tournament by three defeats, nobody would have imagined such a fantastic comeback by Jemimah Rodrigues and Co.

It was DC who won the toss and put RCB Women to bat first. Skipper Smriti Mandhana started the game well but they lost wickets at regular intervals. After her dismissal, the team fell like a pack of cards and couldnt rise again. Smiri scored 38 off 34 balls, including six boundaries and one six and was the highest run-scorer of the innings.

DC's bowling was on point in today's game as Nandini Sharma claimed three wickets along with Marizanne Kapp, Chinelle Henry, and Minnu Mani taking two wickets each. The bowlers kept it tight for RCB to form partnerships and get back into the game at any given stage.

Laura Wolvaardt's steady performance help DC clinch victory

The Delhi Capitals Women didn't have a great start to their innings as they lost their openers early. This was a huge setback for them as the rest of the batters were under pressure. But Laura Wolvaardt's 42 off 38 balls and Jemimah Rodrigues' 24 off 26 balls helped DC curb the pressure and win the game by seven wickets. Infact, Kapp came in and made a stunning cameo of 19 off 15 balls, including three boundaries.

While Sayali Satghare claimed two and Radha Yadav took one wicket, the rest of the bowlers failed to contribute and hence, lost the match. DC chased down the target of 110 runs in 15.4 overs. For an all-round performance in the match, Marizanne Kapp won the Player of the Match award.
