India's captain Suryakumar Yadav has struggled to find his form in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. Despite India winning the matches, SKY's contributions with the bat has been minimal which is quite disappointing given the fact that he is the leader of the team. However, this has been the case since he has taken up captaincy.

Apart from a few half-centuries, Suryakumar's consistent failures have been an area of concern for the Indian team. In the ongoing match against Bangladesh, India managed to put up just 168 runs in the first innings with SKY scoring just five runs. He is a middle-order batter and has to play a crucial role in the matches.

It was Abhishek Sharma's 75 off 37 balls, including six boundaries and five sixes and Hardik Pandya's 38 off 29 balls helped India put up a respectable target on the board. Dubai's pitch is not much favorable for the batters and the spinners have the power to change the game. As we write, Bangladesh have already lost three wickets at the end of the 10th over.

Interestingly, Suryakumar Yadav, known for his fairplay was caught off guard today as the ball had touched his bat and then went to the keeper but he refused to leave the field until the opponents went for the DRS. This made the fans furious and they took to social media to urge BCCI to bring back Shreyas Iyer into the team.
