Teams which can qualify in November 2025

Europe

France stands on the brink of qualification and will secure their spot if they can beat Ukraine on 13 November. Similarly, Portugal can clinch qualification the same day with a victory over the Republic of Ireland or a draw combined with certain results in other matches.

Not far behind, the Netherlands and Croatia both have opportunities to qualify on 14 November. The Dutch need a win against Poland, while Croatia must avoid defeat against the Faroe Islands.

Switzerland and Belgium are also eyeing qualification on 15 November as well. Switzerland’s qualification depends not only on their result against Sweden but also on Kosovo’s outcome, while Belgium can cement their qualification by beating Kazakhstan.

Austria and Spain are also eager to secure their places, with crucial matches against Cyprus and Georgia, respectively, on 15 November. Spain will qualify if they beat Georgia, and Türkiye lose to Bulgaria.

North America, Central America and the Caribbean

Suriname and Panama are leading in Group A, but Honduras is well set to qualify if they beat Nicaragua and Costa Rica fails to beat Haiti on 13 November.

Jamaica can also clinch qualification the same day if they beat Trinidad and Tobago, while Curaçao loses to Bermuda.

Africa

Morocco, alongside Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, South Africa, and Cabo Verde, has already qualified for the World Cup with only one spot left to fill from the continent.

The remaining hope lies in a play-off among the best group runners-up, competing for a final spot at the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.

The playoff will take place in March 2026.

Asia

Asia’s direct qualifying slots have been claimed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia, who secured their places on 14 October.

Oceania

South America

CONMEBOL confederation has all six automatic berths filled, but Bolivia will look to join the tournament as the seventh representative via the Play-Off Tournament.
