Football transfer news: Atletico interested in Casado, United want Fermin

As per the latest football transfer news Atletico Madrid are interested in Marc Casado for around €20-30 million while Manchester United want Fermin Lopez and willing to pay up to €70 million.

In recent football transfer news for FC Barcelona fans, we have some major updates. LaLiga club Atletico Madrid is now considering having midfielder Marc Casado, while Premier League club Manchester United wants Fermin Lopez in the summer transfer window.

Why does Barcelona want to sell Marc Casado?

FC Barcelona are not actively looking to sell Marc Casado, the 21-year-old La Masia graduate. However, since the management of the Catalan Club feels he will not have that much influence in Barcelona's title defence in LaLiga, the club has informed the player that they are open to accepting offers from other clubs.

Barcelona currently has seven midfielders: Frankie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, Marc Bernal, and teenager Dro Fernandez. Barcelona management feels Casado will not get that many games, and if he can bring some money to the club, they will sell the player.

The Spanish defensive midfielder has a price tag of around €30 million. However, Casado, who has played his entire life for Barcelona and wants to end his career with them, does not want to leave. His recent social media post kissing the Barcelona crest echoes that thought.

As per the recent update, Atletico Madrid is looking to buy the player only if the price stays around €20-30 million. Barcelona would also be willing to send Casado on loan, with an option to buy back the player.

United wants Fermin

Manchester United have been busy in the entire summer transfer window, signing players like Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha. Moreover, they have their eyes on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.

But, with players like Marcus Rashford leaving and Alejandro Garnacho not willing to stay at the club, Ruben Amorim wants more options on the bench during the season. As per multiple reports, United are willing to spend as much as €70M to sign the player.

Fermin last season had 18 goal contributions (8 goals and 10 assists) in 46 appearances for Barcelona, where they won the domestic treble. Ruben feels Fermin's style and skill could be beneficial for United. But, there have been no official proposals yet from the Red Devils.

Fermin has already declined offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia, Chelsea FC, and Arsenal FC. Barcelona has no issue selling Fermin only if he brings a lot of money.
