He has always scored runs whenever he got the opportunity making him a valuable asset to the team. Due to the team combinations, he was dropped from the T20 squad against South Africa which drew a lot of criticism. But now, the selectors have included him in the World Cup 2026 squad which is a great news for the team and the fans.

"It was extremely easy for the selectors. His name not coming in the team after the Asia Cup was the biggest surprise. He had not done anything wrong. He didn't get chances in the Asia Cup. He got an opportunity in the final, and he scored the winning runs. After that, you didn't pick him," Saba Karim said during a discussion on Star Sports.

Ishan Kishan makes a comeback in India's squad

After two years of ignorance, left-handed batter Ishan Kishan has finally made his way back in to the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. It was a huge surprise for the fans as Kishan was last included in the squad back in ODI World Cup 2023 squad. He was then ignored from the squad for quite a long time but now, he has finally come back.

Kishan has played in domestic cricket for quite sometime now and has performed well. He slammed a century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 final match, helping Jharkhand lift the trophy. Overall, his hardwork has finally paid off since he has been included in the squad once again.
