In response to the incident, the ICC has reportedly launched an investigation and is expected to take decisive disciplinary action once the tournament concludes.

Sources close to the governing body indicate that Rauf’s potential two-month ban would be a severe reprimand, reflecting the seriousness with which the ICC views the breach of conduct.

The punishment would not only affect Rauf’s international career but also serve as a strong message discouraging players from engaging in behavior that could incite hostility among fans and tarnish the image of the sport.
