The ICC has unveiled the warm-up schedule for the T20 World Cup 2026, with India lined up for a key preparatory match ahead of the marquee tournament.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the warm-up match schedule ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 from February 2 to 6. While all the teams will participate in the matches, England and Sri Lanka have opted out. They haven't given any particular reason as of now. There will be a total of 16 matches played across India and Sri Lanka in a span of a week.

Meanwhile, India are set to take on South Africa in the upcoming warm-up match. The hosts will play a single warm up before the marquee event starts on February 7. The Men in Blue will play their first game against the USA on the opening day. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Indian team.
The India A team will play two warm-up matches in the T20 World Cup 2026. They will play their first game on February 2 against the USA and the second game on February 6 against Namibia. DDCA Secretary also informed that Ayush Badoni and Priyansh Arya will miss the seventh round of the Ranji Trophy as they are selected for the warm-up games.
"Ayush Badoni and Priyansh Arya will not be playing in tomorrow's Ranji Trophy clash, as they have been named in the India A squad slated to play Men's T20 World Cup warm-up games against USA and Namibia in Navi Mumbai and Bengaluru, respectively," said Ashok Sharma, DDCA Secretary as quoted by IANS.
