But, they are prepared for it and will love it if they can silence the crowd as well. This is a similar statement that Cummins gave before the ODI World Cup 2023 final game in Ahmedabad. Well, he did end up silencing the crowd as India lost the match. Curran revealed how happy he is and excited about taking on India in India.

"We are ready for what the crowd’s going to be like. It will be incredibly loud and you have got to look at that as an exciting opportunity. If the crowd is silent, England are probably going to be doing well, so that's our positive way of looking at it,” said Curran.

"Flying to Mumbai from Sri Lanka, you kind of think about what you dreamed of as a kid, what would you love to do? And that will probably take on India in India. It is such an amazing experience,” he added.

Who is likely to win in IND vs ENG contest?

The IND vs ENG semifinal in the T20 World Cup 2026 is a high-pressure clash between two well-balanced sides, but India may hold a slight edge going into the contest.

India’s advantage largely comes from familiarity with conditions and their bowling strength in crunch moments. If the match is at a venue like Wankhede, India’s pace attack, especially in the powerplay and death overs, can be decisive. Their batting lineup also looks stable, with a mix of anchor players and explosive finishers who can adapt to different match situations.

That said, England are one of the most dangerous white-ball teams in knockout cricket. Their aggressive top order can take the game away inside the powerplay, and their all-round depth allows them to recover even after early setbacks.

Overall, India might start as slight favourites due to form, balance, and conditions, but England’s attacking approach ensures this remains close to a 50-50 contest. The team that handles pressure better on the day will likely book a spot in the final.
