In the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 Final, both India and Australia stuck to their guns, maintaining an unchanged playing XI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The decision of Australia, who won the toss and chose to field, brought joy to Indian fans eager to witness their team showcase their batting prowess and set a formidable total.

Nevertheless, the absence of changes in the Indian lineup surprised some observers. Speculation had arisen about the inclusion of R Ashwin, especially after he was spotted practicing in the nets. There were expectations that he might replace pacer Mohammed Siraj, considering the pitch conditions.

Fans expressed their thoughts on social media, suggesting that Ashwin, known for causing trouble to the Australian side, could have been a strategic addition instead of Siraj or even Suryakumar Yadav. However, most fans acknowledged their trust in the captain's decision and pledged their unwavering support to the team.
