India scripted history by winning the inaugural Women’s Blind T20 World Cup, defeating Nepal in a dominant final to clinch their first-ever world title.

The Indian Blind Women's team scripted history on Sunday, November 23, after winning the inaugural season of the T20 World Cup 2025 by defeating Nepal in the final. The match was an one-sided affair as India restricted Nepal to 114 runs in the first innings and later chased the target in just 12 overs. The Women's team looked happy and emotional at the same after a dominating performance in the final match.

The team made zero errors throughout the match, keeping batting, bowling, and fielding in check. Opener Phula Saren played a match-winning knock, scoring 44 runs, including four boundaries. She batted throughout the innings at a strike rate of 162.96 and showcased her skills to the whole world as all eyes were on India.
She went on to win the Player of the Match award in the finals. After winning the match, her teammate and India captain Deepika TC expressed her emotions and also spoke about
“We are very proud and it is a huge win. Our entire team worked very hard. It is a very strong team and other teams are afraid of playing with us. We are even ready to play with the men’s team.” Deepika TC said after winning the match.

The World Cup campaigns have been going well for the Indian teams, irrespective of the gender. Except for the ODI World Cup 2023, the Men and Women in Blue have won the ICC events in the recent times. In the Blind Women's T20 World Cup 2025, Indian team dominated the entire tournament by remaining unbeaten just like the Men in Blue in the T20 World Cup 2024.
The Women's team defeated Australia in the smei-final which was another achievement. The golden period of India continues and the fans hope to win many more trophies in the future. The next Men's World Cup in T20s in held in India and Sri Lanka, starting from February 7, 2026. It will be interesting to watch the players perform in the upcoming marquee event.
