IPL 2023: Virat Kohli pens heartfelt 'thank you' note after RCB's knock out of Playoffs

After seeing his side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) get eliminated from the playoff race of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Virat Kohli took to social media to pen a heartfelt note for his team members, fans and coaching staff.

On Sunday, Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated RCB in a playoff game and although dejected, Kohli said, "We must hold our heads high."

Sharing pictures from the tournament, Kohli wrote, "A season which had it's moments but unfortunately we fell short of the goal. Disappointed but we must hold our heads high. To our loyal supporters, grateful for backing us every step of the way.

"A big thank you to the coaches, management and my teammates. We aim to be back stronger," he further said.

RCB’s defeat has now paved the way for Mumbai Indians (MI) to secure an IPL Playoffs spot, becoming the 4th team alongwith GT, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Talking about Kohli's form, he smashed his 7th IPL century, making it two IPL tons back-to-back. He will be flying to England to start his preparation for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Oval against Australia.
