Not a season to remember for Prabhsimran Singh as his poor form continues in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In Match 33 between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI), the batter, who mostly played as an impact player, was part of the playing XI in the absence of skipper Shikhar Dhawan. In the game against MI, where the visitors posted 192 runs, he did not get time to settle before departing for a duck. While Gerald Coetzee celebrated, it was keeper Ishan Kishan who claimed the wicket with a full-length dive and held onto a sharp catch. The underperformance of the Punjab batter has surely irked fans, with many expressing their disappointment on X (formerly known as Twitter).

As for the clash, PBKS are in deep trouble, having lost five wickets in 8 overs. They have only 60 runs on the board, with Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee taking two wickets each, while Shreyas Gopal has one to his name.

Sam Curran (6 off 7), Rilee Rossouw (1 off 3), Liam Livingstone (1 off 2), and Harpreet Singh Bhatia (13 off 15) all departed like a pack of cards.

Earlier, MI posted 192 runs and lost seven wickets, with contributions from Ishan Kishan (8 off 8), Rohit Sharma (36 off 25), Suryakumar Yadav (78 off 53), skipper Hardik Pandya (10 off 6), Tim David (14 off 7), Romario Shepherd (1 off 2), and Mohammad Nabi, who was run-out for a duck. Tilak Varma remained not out, scoring 34 off 18.

For PBKS, Harshal Patel picked up three wickets, while Sam Curran had two to his name. Kagiso Rabada also contributed with one wicket.
