Chasing a daunting target of 361 on the final day, Rest of India started on a shaky note at 30 for 2.
Early breakthroughs by Vidarbha bowlers set the tone. Captain Rajat Patidar was caught and bowled by Aditya Thakare after playing an aggressive shot, and Ruturaj Gaikwad could only manage 19 balls before edging Darshan Nalkande to the wicketkeeper.
Ishan Kishan, who had remained overnight at the crease, tried to steady the innings but lost his wicket on 35 after mistiming a charge against left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey.
Soon after, Saransh Jain was dismissed lbw by left-arm spinner Harsh Rakhade, leaving Rest of India struggling at 133 for 6.
The innings found some momentum thanks to 22-year-old Yash Dhull, batting at number six.
Dhull scored a valiant 92 runs in 117 balls, striking eight fours and a six, anchoring a vital 104-run partnership for the seventh wicket alongside Manav Suthar.
Suthar, playing a more cautious role, remained unbeaten on 56. However, Dhull's resistance was broken after he played an uppercut off Yash Thakur that failed to clear the boundary. Shortly after, Thakur dismissed Anshul Kamboj, bringing the Rest of India closer to defeat.
Vidarbha’s innings were bolstered early in the match by Atharva Taide’s commanding 143 and Yash Rathod’s supportive 91, helping post a first innings total of 342.
The bowling side was equally efficient, with Yash Thakur picking up four wickets to bowl out Rest of India for just 214 in their first innings, despite half-centuries from Rajat Patidar and Abhimanyu Easwaran.
In the third innings, Anshul Kamboj added to the pressure with a four-wicket haul, restricting Vidarbha to 232 and setting Rest of India a challenging target.
Ultimately, the 361-run target on the final day proved too steep. Vidarbha’s bowling attack, led by Thakur and supported well by Dubey and others, systematically dismantled the Rest of India lineup to secure a memorable victory.
