This has raised a huge concern among the Mumbai Indians (MI) fans about why the pacer is visiting the COE. There is no information on the reason behind his visit.

However, MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene had mentioned a few days ago that some of the MI players who were part of the T20 World Cup 2026 squad would be given some extra time off before joining the training camp. Hence, Bumrah is yet

Every year, our aim is to get there (win the IPL trophy). But I know it's a long season. So pre-season will start the way we usually start, working hard, getting new boys into the setup. And with our (T20) World Cup guys, we've given them a bit of an extended break so that they will join us next weekend. The overseas guys also flew in home, and then they will join us. But they'll have a good one-week training with us before the first game,” said during the closing ceremony of the MI Junior season at the MIG Cricket Club Ground.

MI’s schedule for IPL 2026

The Mumbai Indians (MI) will start their campaign on March 29 by taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Just like some teams, MI will play two matches at home and two away games in phase 1. They’ll play against DC, RR, and RCB in the first phase.

The players are all fit and fine and in form since five members of their team were a part of India’s playing XI in the T20 World Cup. Hence, they will be looking forward to playing well in the upcoming season.
