Cricketers have always spoken about the power of manifestation and visualisation. Infact, self-belief is something that has brought them so far in life. While working hard is extremely important, knowing that you have the power to achieve everything is important too. While speaking in a video released by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise, captain Ishan Kishan revealed his journey from being dropped from the team to making a comeback in the T20Is to becoming the captain of the franchise.

While the journey was not easy, Kishan stated that he kept everything ‘simple’. He believed in himself and is currently quite overwhelmed with everything that is going on around him. In the absence of Pat Cummins, the left-handed batter has been given the captaincy until the Australian player returns.

"I am very overwhelmed, and I am very happy that I got this opportunity to lead this team. And, to be very honest, I am going to just keep it simple, not to do so much because when players come for IPL, I think they are all very good players. You just need to make sure that they are on the right track,” said Ishan Kishan.

“And their mindset does not change after a few innings, going here and there. And the rest is, you know, it is going to be a good season, I guess, and we will just do it together. I think there is lots and lots and lots of learning in this season because I will tell you, in the last few years, I have understood one thing, the most important thing for a cricketer is to be in a very good headspace throughout the season," he added.

How do I explain it?: Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan spoke at length about manifestations and how important it is to believe in yourself. He always believed that he would make a comeback into the Indian team, and he did. Now, he will play as a captain for an IPL franchise, which is still a dream for many players. Hence, the 27-year-old is an inspiration to many players who are just starting out their careers.

"When I was not in the team, there was no--I mean, how do I explain it? There was always this feeling that I would make it to the team anyhow, because I knew that the amount of hard work I would do would be the most important thing. And you know, you always need to believe in yourself," he said.
