New Zealand defeated India by 50 runs in the 4th T20I at Visakhapatnam, powered by a strong Seifert performance, as the Kiwis clinched a notable win in the 2026 series.

New Zealand have emerged to be victorious in the fourth T20I match against India in Visakhapatnam. They won the match by 50 runs, thanks to skipper Mitchell Santner's three wickets and Tim Seifert's half-century. The Indian batters fell short of the target as they had one batter short in their playing XI today.

Skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and pushed New Zealand to bat first. The opening pair, Devon Conway (44) and Seifert (62) stitched a 100-run partnership, putting the Kiwis on the front foot. Indian bowlers failed to get the breakthrough despite having the best bowling attack. Towards the slog overs, Daryl Mitchell played a cameo, scoring an unbeaten 39 off 18 balls, including two boundaries and three sixes.
Harshit Rana was the most expensive bowler for India, conceding 54 runs in four overs. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh claimed two wickets each. The bowlers were hit for boundaries and sixes as the pitch conditions was fantastic and the batters had the opportunity to score runs. NZ scored 215 runs in the first innings.
After winning the first three games quite comfortably, India went on to lose the fourth T20I match against New Zealand on Wednesday. They were chasing 215 runs but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Sanju Samson failed to impress once again. But, Rinku Singh got a chance to bat early today and scored 39 off 30 balls, including three boundaries and two sixes.
Shivam Dube was in a terrific form, scoring 65 off 23 balls, hitting three boundaries and seven sixes. He wreaked havoc on the bowling unit but was run out by Matt Henry. Santner claimed three wickets while Jacob Duffy and Ish Sodhi picked up two wickets. For an incredible batting performance, Seifert won the Player of the Match award.
