This will be the first time in 3 years, post the COVID-19 pandemic that multiple venues in India will be hosting the IPL 2023.

The 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which begins on Friday, March 31, 2023, will see the Rajasthan Royals (RR) home stadium, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur host the IPL 2023 for the first time since 2019. This will be the first time in 3 years, post the COVID-19 pandemic that multiple venues in India will be hosting the mega event.
To make the event more special, the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals took the help of Jaipur pitch curators and ground crew to officially unveil their iconic jerseys for the upcoming edition. They posted a video displaying the people behind the scenes on their official Twitter account.
"At Royals, we believe that the firsts are very important. So I think this season myself and the whole management have decided that we give our first jersey of the season to the groundsmen. And I just wanted to thank them for all the care that they have given us," skipper Sanju Samson said in the video.
Talking about the IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals, who were the runner-ups in the last edition, would look to win this year and seal their first trophy since the inaugural edition in 2008.
The Royals had a terrific mini-auction as they acquired the services of star players like Jason Holder, Adam Zampa and Joe Root alongside Murugan Ashwin, KM Asif and Donovan Fereira.
