Who has scored the most goals in the UEFA Women's EURO?

UEFA Women's Euro has been one of the most-watched Women's football events since its inception in 1984. Since then, Inka Grings and Birgit Prinz of Germany have scored the most goals in the UEFA Women's Euro history.

#5. Lotta Schelin | 8 goals

One of Sweden's greatest footballers, Lotta Schelin, has scored eight goals in UEFA Women's Euro history.

With a record 88 goals for her country, Schelin inspired the new generation of Swedish girls to take up the sport.

From 2005 to 2017, Schelin played in four consecutive UEFA Women's Euro tournaments. Although in 2005 and 2009 Schelin could only net the ball once, she made sure she shone for her country in the 2013 edition, when Sweden hosted the tournament.

In the 2013 edition, Schelin won the Golden Boot of the tournament award with five goals in seven games.

#4. Heidi Mohr | 8 goals

Former German legend Heidi Mohr also scored eight goals in the history of the Women's Euro.

Once called the "Goal Machine", Heidi was the first player to score eight goals in UEFA Women's Euro tournaments. From 1989 to 1995, Heidi featured in four Euros for West Germany and unified Germany.

Mohr won the Euros three times - once with West Germany in 1989 and 1991 and 1995 for Germany. The 1991 Women's Euro established her as one of the best in the world when she scored four goals in the tournament, including a brace in the final against Norway.

For her explosive pace, goal instinct, and consistency, Mohr was named "Europe’s Women’s Footballer of the Century" in 1999.

#3 Carolina Morace | 8 goals

Italy’s greatest women's footballer, Caroline Morace, also appears on the list with eight goals in fourteen games to her name.

Carolina played in four editions of the Women's Euros - 1984, 1987, 1993, 1997. In 1993 and 1997, she was able to take Italy to the finals. However, she faced defeats on both occasions - against Norway in 1993 and against Germany in 1997.

In 1997, the Italian finished as the joint top scorer of the tournament with four goals.

Carolina is the only Italian to score at every Euro she played. Not only that, she scored in three consecutive games twice in the Women's European Championships.

#2 Birgit Prinz | 10 goals

Five tournaments, 23 matches, ten goals, and five titles - this is the stat of Birgit Prinz at the UEFA Women's Euro tournaments.

In her debut Euros in 1995, Prinz scored in the final, after coming as a substitute. Germany went on to win the title, beating Sweden 3-2.

In the 1997 edition, she again scored in the final as Germany defeated Italy by 2-0. Her knack of scoring in the final continued as she netted once in the 2005 final vs Norway and twice in the 2007 final vs England.

#1 Inka Grings | 10 goals

Along with Prinz, if anyone was responsible for Germany's golden era in Women's football during the early 2000s, it was Inka Grings.

Grings took part only in two editions of the Women's Euros and went on to win both of them. Not only that, she went on to win the Golden Boot on both occasions in 2005 and 2009 - the only player to achieve the feat.

In 2005, she scored 4 goals. Then in the 2009 edition, she scored 6 goals - a joint record for the most goals in a single Women's Euro edition.

Moreover, she scored in the finals of both the 2005 and 2009 editions.
