And finally, the four semifinalists of the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 are confirmed.

After a fierce quarterfinal packed with goals, heartbreaks, and plenty of nail-biting moments, the teams from four different nations have made their way to the Champions League semifinals. The semi-finalists include Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Barcelona, and Inter Milan.

Arsenal put up a dominating show against Real Madrid, outclassing them with a 5-1 win. The team had put up a statement for the rest of Europe by winning both home and away matches.

And then there's Inter Milan, who scored an important goal in Munich and stayed rock solid to see off Bayern.

On the other hand, Barcelona's match-up against B. Dortmund was a roller coaster. They won 5-3 on aggregate, but that 3-1 loss in Germany exposed few shortcomings in the team. Despite all of this, Barcelona did just enough across both legs to move on.

Meanwhile, there was some peak madness in Paris and Birmingham, as PSG vs Aston Villa was the highest-scoring tie of the round. In the end, it was PSG who got past Aston Villa with 5-4.

The format for the 2024/25 Champions League semifinals will be similar to the round of 16 and quarterfinals. The team with the highest final score at the end of the second leg will march towards the finals in Munich.

If the second leg ends up being a tie, an extra half hour or a penalty shootout will decide the finalist. And the final good news for the players is that yellow card counts have been reset, so only a red card could keep someone out of the final.
