India's star batter Virat Kohli was spotted at the Mumbai Airport ahead of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025. He will play for Delhi in the tournament and has most of the matches in Bengaluru and hence, was heading to the city. With the tournament set to start from December 24, Kohli is traveling to Bengaluru to catch up with the team and resume the practice sessions.

The sighting comes at a time when Kohli is preparing for a crucial phase in India’s white-ball calendar. With the New Zealand ODI series scheduled soon after the conclusion of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the tournament offers Kohli an opportunity to gain match sharpness and rhythm in familiar conditions. His decision to feature in domestic cricket has been welcomed by fans and selectors alike.
Along with Kohli, Rishabh Pant is set to play in the tournament and is the captain of the Delhi team. There are other players like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and others who are set to play in the upcoming tournament. The players are preparing well for the upcoming New Zealand series.

However, ahead of the IPL 2026, Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) managedd to get the stadium approved. Now, Delhi will play their first three games at the stadium and then will play the rest at Alur, Bengaluru.
