India's star batter and vice-captain Rishabh Pant was seen practicing with the rest of his teammates ahead of the fourth Test match against England. The match will be played at the Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, on July 23. He sustained a finger injury in the third match and had to leave the ground for some time. But now that he's on the field with the gloves on, it looks like he is recovering on time. A video went viral on social media where Karun Nair, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Sai Sudharsan were present in the slip cordon. They were later joined by Yashasvi Jaiswal.
The players will be super excited to take the field after an eight-day gap. Currently, England are leading the Test series 2-1, and are looking strong with the kind of balance they have in their team. On the other hand, India's top and middle-order batters have failed to put on runs in crunch situations, leading to the team's loss in the previous match.
The upcoming match is extremely crucial for the Men in Blue since they are already a game behind. If England win the match, they'll seal the series, making a solid move in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle. So, it will be important for the batters to take up the responsibility and play well.

While the participation of Jasprit Bumrah in the fourth Test match was under scrutiny, India’s pacer Mohammed Siraj gave a clear confirmation on the star bowler's availability. "So far, we only know that Jassi [Bumrah] bhai will play," said Siraj in Manchester on Monday. Bumrah claimed a fifer in the previous match and put the English batters under pressure.
While Akash Deep and Siraj were brilliant in the second Test match, Bumrah’s absence is always felt. Having a senior player around in the fourth match will help motivate the rest of the teammates as well. The Manchester Test will be a do-or-die game for India, and captain Shubman Gill will have to come up with a different game plan to tackle the English players.
