MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina’s bond is well-known to the world. They played cricket together and retired from international cricket on the same day. They have a great bond together and it was evident during the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) event that happened on March 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The former players gathered at the stadium and played together with the current team members.

Dhoni and Raina were seen together most of the time and seemed quite happy as well. They played together once again and were spotted making fun of each other and engaging in fun banter. After years of playing for CSK, he was finally inducted into the franchise’s inaugural Hall of Fame and received the award during the CSK Roar’26 event.

While he was going to collect the trophy, Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Dhoni, kept cheering for the former CSK batter and also called him, “Gracia ke papa”. The video went viral on social media as the fans found the moment quite hilarious. They have been together for a long time, and the bond between them is inseparable.

Suresh Raina’s contributions for CSK in IPL

Suresh Raina is one of the best batters in the history of the IPL. He was the leading run-scorer in the tournament before he went unsold in 2022. He started playing for the Super Kings from 2008 and helped them win the finals in IPL 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. He was an integral part of the team and has also captained them in a few games.

The left-handed batter’s 87 off 25 balls, against Kings XI Punjab, is an unforgettable game for the CSK fans as he wreaked havoc on the bowlers. However, his innings went in vain as they lost the match. He only missed the 2020 season, which happened in Dubai. So far, he has played 205 matches and scored 5,528 runs at an average of 32.51, including one century and 39 fifties.
