The incident unfolded outside the Indian team's hotel, where Rohit and fellow cricketer Virat Kohli took time to interact with fans, showcasing the camaraderie and respect that transcends national boundaries.

A gesture that crossed borders

On Thursday, as the Indian team settled into their accommodations in Perth, fans gathered outside the hotel, eager to catch a glimpse of their cricketing idols. Among them was Sahil, a young fan from Karachi, Pakistan. Sahil had previously met Virat Kohli and was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet his other favorite player, Rohit Sharma.

Sahil expressed his gratitude, stating, "It was lovely meeting Kohli. I have met him before as well. He is very humble. I had just asked him once. Same for Rohit, who was already sitting on the bus. I just signaled him, requesting for an autograph...I mean that's a lot."
