What happened?

Mulder, the South African all-rounder, came to bowl in the second inning after the visitors posted 277 in the first inning. During his first ball of the inning, Mulder came running in, but while landing, he fell down shockingly.

It looked like his back foot slipped in the popping crease and could not hold his bodyweight during the delivery. However, the strong medium pacer was able to somehow fall safely and avoid a career-threatening injury.

Mulder was able to get back his rhythm and soon dismissed Australian captain Mitchell Marsh as well. Marsh tried to pull a short ball from Mulder, but skied the ball up in the air in the mid-wicket region and lost his wicket.
