West Indies smashed 254/6 against Zimbabwe in the Super 8 clash of T20 World Cup 2026 at Wankhede, leaving ZIM struggling in a daunting 255-run chase.

West Indies pulled off a stellar victory against Zimbabwe in the ongoing Super 8 stage in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. After putting up 107 runs on the board. they went on to win the by 107 runs as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 147 runs. West Indies, who batted first, put 254 runs on the board in the first innings.

The batting performance was incredible where Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell played some outstanding knock. While Hetmyer scored 85 off 34 balls, including seven boundaries and sixes, Powell scored 57 runs in 35 balls, including four boundaries and sixes.
Both the batters played at a higher strike rate that helped the team post a mammoth total on the board. West Indies remain unbeaten in the tournament and now have a NRR of +5.35. If they win one more match against South Africa or India, they'll qualify for the semi-finals.
For Zimbabwe, Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarbani claimed two wickets each. They started off well, taking early breakthroughs but as the game progressed, their failed to take wickets and that's why the score went up to be huge.
When Zimbabwe came to bat, they started off well, scoring ten runs in the first over. While the target seemed quite far fetched, the batters could have atleast tried to form partnerships, strike the balls, and go near the score. On the contrary, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals, making it impossible to stick around.
For West Indies, Gudakesh Motie and Akeal Hosein were the stars in the bowling department claiming four and three wickets, respectively. It was a clinical win for West Indies since they outplayed the opponents in the batting and bowling department.
