Carlos Alcaraz is the defending Wimbledon Champion, while Novak Djokovic is the runner-up

It’s day 3 of the main draw at the 2025 Wimbledon, with 64 players having advanced to Round 2 of the tournament. Top players like Alexander Zverev, Tallon Griekspoor, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Lorenzo Musetti, have already crashed out of the tournament, while defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, World No.1 Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic moved on to the next round, but not without a fight. Alcaraz, for instance, fought off a spirited Fabio Fognini in a five-set match, while Djokovic needed 4 to dispatch Alexandre Muller.

Round 2 will be held between July 2 and 3, with 32 players taking the court on each day. The matches are available on Star Sports Network and can be live streamed on JioHotstar, and, by extension on OTTplay Premium. The day’s matches begin around 3.30 pm (IST) with the last scheduled match set to start at 8.20 pm, but this, of course, is subject to quick results in straight sets, for instance.

Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is not only the defending champion, but is gunning for a third consecutive win on the green lawn of Wimbledon. He’d beaten Novak Djokovic on both the earlier occasions, with the 38-year-old Serb still eyeing that elusive 25th Grand Slam.

The 2025 champions in both the men’s and women’s singles categories will take home 3 million Euros each, with even round 1 losers getting a whopping 68,000 euros. The tournament ends on July 13 with the men’s singles finale.
