What insight into your character in Bramayugam did Rahul initially provide you with?
When I first met Rahul, he showed me these character sketches, which gave me an initial impression of Yakshi. He made it clear that this is not your typical Yakshi that you might have seen in a Malayalam movie. I learned more about the character and the plot the more we discussed it. I was excited just thinking about playing a Yakshi. Who would not want to play a role like that at least once in their lives?
The audience gave Yakshi's appearance in this mystery horror a lot of appreciation. What was your initial response when she first appeared?
Rahul showed me the sketches, but they lacked a precise representation of the character's appearance. I still find it difficult to put those emotions into words. I felt so happy when I saw myself as Yakshi on the big screen. I was struck, then, by how fortunate I felt to have been given the chance to play such a captivating role.
Prior to its theatrical debut, I had not seen the movie. When I first saw the film on the big screen and witnessed the reaction of the crowd, I was left speechless.

You co-starred with Dulquer Salmaan in your debut movie, Kammatipaadam, and now you share the screen with Malayalam superstar Mammootty. What would you say about what working with him was like?
I had the good fortune to work with Dulquer Salmaan on my first movie. In addition, I had always dreamt of working on a film directed by Rajeev Ravi. For me, the entire journey to Bramayugam was both thrilling and unexpected. I had my first scene with Mammootty Sir in Bramayugam. He put us all at ease on the set, even though, at first, I was tense. It was also a great opportunity for me to share the screen with one of the greatest performers in Malayalam. I was thrilled about that part!
What criteria would you apply to selecting a script?
Despite having acted in over nine Malayalam films, many people still believe that I am a newcomer to the industry. The main reason for this was that I had various looks in each of these movies. I usually choose films and characters that I enjoy. Since my childhood, I have been passionate about films. I am drawn to roles that I think I can perform better in.
What are your upcoming projects?
I am playing a pivotal role in a Tamil movie that will soon be released in theatres. Aside from this, I am currently working on a Malayalam project. I will not be able to provide more details, though, as the makers are yet to release an official announcement.
