Hasee Toh Phasee

One of the quirkiest rom-coms to come out of Bollywood, this 2014 film tells the tale of a young man, Nikhil, who finds himself hopelessly in love with a woman out of his league. When he is tasked with the duty of keeping his beloved’s eccentric sister, Meeta, away from their father due to some past mishaps, he jumps at the opportunity. But as is the case, as the two start getting closer, sparks fly and they start falling for each other. Sidharth gives a delightfully charming performance as Nikhil, his inner conflict and hopeless romantic side being displayed flawlessly and in a way that’ll make audiences fall in love with the character.

Sidharth's loyal fan base has increased with the success of Ek Villain. The 2014 film tells the story of Guru, an expert hitman who leaves behind his life of crime when he falls in love with a terminally ill young woman. However, when his beloved is murdered by a serial killer, he is forced to tap into his past to avenge the murder. Sidharth essays the role of Guru, his grief over losing his wife pushing him to commit unspeakable acts of violence. Ripe with some nail-biting sequences and a terrific performance by Sidharth, the film is a must-watch for the actor’s fans.

Shershaah

8
This 2021 film marked a sort of comeback in the actor’s career after a string of lacklustre projects. Shershaah chronicles the story of one of the country’s heroic modern-day patriots, Captain Vikram Batra, who attained martyrdom for his valiant efforts during the Kargil War in 1999. The film traces the martyr’s life from his youth to his days in the army right up to his final battle. Sidharth was lauded for his performance as the hero, and despite the film's getting mixed reviews, the star’s portrayal was agreed upon as being one of the highlights of the film.

Kapoor and Sons

8.2
Chaotic family dynamics always make for an entertaining story, and Kapoor and Sons is proof of that. The film tells the story of two brothers who barely get along with each other, who have to return to the home they grew up in when their grandfather has a heart attack, and, of course, their return leads to pandemonium. Sidharth stars as Arjun, the black sheep of the Kapoor family, always overshadowed by his mature and successful brother. The star gives a grounded and convincing portrayal of his character in the critically acclaimed film, which guarantees to take you through a whole spectrum of emotions.
