Sidharth Malhotra figures on the top shelf when it comes to fan favourites among leading men in Bollywood. Getting his start in the 2012 film Student of the Year, with none other than Karan Johar at the helm, Sidharth made his Bollywood debut in style, along with the likes of popular stars like Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.

Although his strides in the industry have been at a slow and steady pace, it has not stopped the star from earning adoring fans to his name and giving it all when it comes to his roles. Ek Villain

The 2014 film tells the story of Guru, an expert hitman who leaves behind his life of crime when he falls in love with a terminally ill young woman. However, when his beloved is murdered by a serial killer, he is forced to tap into his past to avenge the murder. Sidharth essays the role of Guru, his grief over losing his wife pushing him to commit unspeakable acts of violence. Shershaah chronicles the story of one of the country’s heroic modern-day patriots, Captain Vikram Batra, who attained martyrdom for his valiant efforts during the Kargil War in 1999. The film traces the martyr’s life from his youth to his days in the army right up to his final battle. Sidharth was lauded for his performance as the hero, and despite the film's getting mixed reviews, the star’s portrayal was agreed upon as being one of the highlights of the film.
