Asterix & Obelix - The Middle Kingdom

Adapted from the comic book series ‘Asterix’, Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom is a 2023 French comedy adventure film directed by Guillaume Canet. The movie follows Asterix (Guillaume Canet) and Obelix (Gilles Lellouche), two Gallic heroes and best friends, travelling to China to help the only daughter of the Chinese Emperor Han Xuandi who has requested help from Gaul to defend against a rouge and nefarious prince, Deng Tsin Qin. While this is happening, Julius Caesar goes to China with his army to help Deng Tsin Qin. The cast of the show includes Vincent Cassel (Julius Caesar), Jonathan Cohen, Marion Cotillard, Julie Chen and Bun-hay Mean among others.
