Die Hard

Based on the 1979 novel Nothing Lasts Forever by Roderick Thorp, Die Hard is an American action film directed by John McTiernan. The plot follows New York City police detective John McClane, who arrives in Los Angeles hoping to spend Christmas with his estranged wife but finds himself dealing with a hostage situation in an office building, with his wife being one of the hostages. The film features performances from Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman, Alexander Godunov, Reginald VelJohnson, Paul Gleason, De'voreaux White and Bonnie Bedelia in prominent roles.
