Heartless

Shruti and Dev have come down to India from the U.S. for some property matter. The case went in favour of Dev and they were celebrating. Dev brought back Srishti's past and asked her about her ex-husband, Ravi, and daughter, Manini, who stayed with her father. Shruti avoided the topic and looked stiff.  Suddenly someone came to meet Shruti. Soon they came to know it was none other than Ravi. Srishti became uneasy but anyway let him in.  Ravi asked for money; he said Manini is medically serious and she has to get admitted to the hospital.  Shruti got annoyed and to Dev surprise she refused to pay anything. On insistence she paid  Ravi a few hundred bucks and asked him to go away.. After Ravi left, Dev got upset and started rebuking Shruti for her insensitivity and called her "Heartless". After a while of silence, Shruti revealed that Manini had passed away a couple of years ago. and Dev doesn't know about it. Ravi took money from Shruti for his own amusement. Dev stood there speechless.
